Sue Dix painting

After attending High Wycombe Art School, I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and then pursued a career in television for over thirty years.
Painting and drawing have always been a passion from childhood.
I’m interested in the ephemeral nature of things, particularly flora.

I started painting in watercolour over twenty years ago because of its vibrancy and experimental possibilities
which excited me.

I delight in catching the fragility and strength in the subject of the painting. I decided to take up oils over the past two years and am continuing this process, which is very exciting and challenging. I’d loosely describe myself as a colourist.
